Gleam Eye Serum

AM/PM This custom eye serum is designed to target the delicate skin around the eyes, resulting in: decreased appearance of puffiness, dark circles, crow’s feet, and glabellar lines (11’s).

How it works

This formulation contains powerful active ingredients that reduce fluid retention; increase the degradation of bilirubin; reduce the severity of eye wrinkles and glabellar lines; boosts collagen and elastin synthesis and stimulates microcirculation around the eye area.

How to Apply

Gently apply a rice grain size amount around the eyes, beneath the lower lashes, between the brows, and on the brow bone.  Avoid the eyelid!

Full ingredients:

Aloe Vera Juice, Ascorbic Acid, Water, Caprylic/Capric triglyceride, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Acetyl Tripeptide-5, Lactobacillus Ferment, Plankton Extract, Olive Squalane, Oleic Acid, Arunja Extract, Octapeptide-3, Sodium acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Lecithin, Polysorbate 80.

AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES.  If product gets in eyes, rinse with clean cold water immediately. Contact physician if irritation persists.

Active ingredients

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 – This tetrapeptide has anti-edema properties with proven efficacy in reducing puffy under eyebags in as little as 15 days.  Studies show both eye bag volume and dark circles were moderately, but significantly reduced. 

Acetyl Octapeptide-3 This “anti-wrinkle octapeptide” is an elongation of the famous hexapeptide Argireline®. It reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the contraction of muscles of facial expression, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. In clinical studies, the severity of wrinkles around the eyes decreased up to 63.13%. Both in vivo and in vitro efficacy testing suggests that Acetyl Octapeptide-3 is approximately 30% more active than its parent peptide Argireline. It is a safer, cheaper, and milder alternative to Botulinum Toxin, topically targeting the same wrinkle-formation mechanism in a very different way.

Plankton Extract -This marine ingredient can be used in any cosmetic formulation designed for use around the eyes. Provides complete care of the eye contour area by reducing fluid extravasation and increasing the degradation of bilirubin.  It also boosts collagen and elastin synthesis and decreases the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), for a brighter and younger look. Isolated from a naturally occurring marine microorganism (E. crustaceum) isolated in Playa Paraiso, Tenerife Island in Spain, it is produced through biotechnology, so there is no harvesting or extracting from nature.

• Decreases vascular permeability to ameliorate eyebags and dark circles

• Enhances bilirubin degradation to reduce the vascular pigmentation that causes dark coloration under the eyes

• Promotes the production of type I collagen and elastin by dermal fibroblasts

• Diminishes glycation of collagen to maintain strength and elasticity of the dermis

• In vivo, it improves the appearance of all signs of aging in the eye contour area, including dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles

Terminalia (Ajurana) exract - the protective molecules of the Terminalia arjuna tree is known to contain cardiotonic molecules.

·       Combines different mechanisms of actions thanks to key natural molecules extracted from the Terminalia Arjuna tree: Terpenoids with cardiotonic properties, and flavonoids (quercetin, rutin) and phenolic acids (gallic acid, ellagic acid) with strong anti-free radical capacity.

·       Visibly reduces eye puffiness and attenuates wrinkles and fine lines under eyes.

·       Reduces blue pigmentation of dark circles and skin pigmentation of eye.

·       Stimulates microcirculation around the eye area.

Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - Vitamin C is rich in antioxidants which fight free radicals responsible for causing wrinkles, fine lines and also protects your skin against sun damage which is also responsible for causing dark circles. Vitamin C is known to boost collagen production which increases the elasticity of your skin, helps to strengthen blood vessels and  to increase blood circulation, which can also help reduce the appearance of dark circles. Vitamin C decreases the production of melanin by inhibiting tyrosinase, which is an enzyme that results in the production of melanin and pigment in the skin. Vitamin C is a powerhouse ingredient for collagen production as it helps to speed up the skin’s cell renewal which in turn accelerates the production of collagen and elastin (two proteins that are responsible for the plumpness and elasticity of skin), helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C helps reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles, and puffiness.

Olive Squalane - Olive Squalane is a luxurious and sophisticated moisturizing agent that is used extensively in both the pharmaceutical and the cosmetic industries.

Squalane is easily absorbed by human skin, because it is a derivative of the unsaturated terpene hydrocarbon called Squalene, an oily molecule that occurs naturally in the sebum of human skin. With age, the skin’s natural Squalene production begins to decline, making products with Squalane more valuable as skin begins to lose its moisture, smoothness, and strength.

Squalene oxidizes quickly, but the hydrogenated and improved version of it – Squalane – becomes a stable and skin-loving ingredient with a lengthy shelf life. With various cosmetic applications in which it can exhibit is beneficial properties, this light, odor-free, and non-staining vegetable-based fluid has earned the nickname “Liquid Gold.”

Olive Squalane helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and cracks formed by extreme dryness and damage, , It protects against the harsh effects of the elements, UV radiation, and pollution. Its non-comedogenic quality makes Squalane suitable for all skin types, even oily complexions.
